Introduction to Year 4

Welcome to Year 4! Our classroom not only follows but also extends beyond the national curriculum, incorporating a range of enriching activities such as Forest School and swimming. This year, students will also have the opportunity to learn how to play a musical instrument and showcase their talents at the Hallé.

We implement Quality First Teaching to ensure that each child’s individual needs are met, fostering both a love of learning and personal growth. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their child’s learning journey, and together we look forward to a successful and enjoyable year ahead!

PE will take place on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the year. During the autumn term, swimming and Forest School will replace PE sessions where necessary, as these also provide opportunities for physical activity. Please ensure that your child always has their PE kit in school.

Homework will be assigned every Friday and is due the following Friday. Pupils are encouraged to take part in their reading challenge and continue practising their times tables using online websites and games.
